You could say strength is beneficial to all types of applications as it helps with increasing the efficiency of your movement, it helps decrease the wear and tear of your joints and helps to increase the longevity of your muscles.
We look into the neural side of strength but more specifically the motor units and associated muscle fibres it recruits.
All in all the ultimate goal or results we want to achieve from increased strength is better performance.
In a sporting application, if your strong you have better force output which means you can move with power, just higher, run faster etc…
In physique & fat loss applications, strength gives you the ability to do more work in any given workload resulting in a greater stimulation of muscle for muscle growth and and increase in caloric burn.
